The Forest School Approach is inspirational, aspirational and a lot of fun! It is proven to develop self confidence, strength of character and improve emotional health and wellbeing, which has a positive effect in the woods and in the classroom.
Forest School can bring children on in any area of the curriculum from the Early Years to Year 6. Children with additional needs or English as and additional language thrive in the woods. We can concentrate on any area of the curriculum you wish to develop your children in. Please give us a ring if this is something you would like to discuss further.
If you are interested in improving your children's mental health and emotional wellbeing, please click on the Six Week Enrichment Offer and book now.
You can use the PE grant to fund this enriching intervention.
Fungi leaders can come in to your school for a half term and work with a small group of children over six weeks. Claire Tjaveondja will come in to school to discuss with the head or Mental Health Lead the children who will be accessing time in Forest School and then work with the school to create a baseline assessment and a bespoke experience for those children. Ten to twelve children is an ideal number and we would require any TAs to work with us during the sessions. Ideally we would use a quiet wooded area in your school, or a corner of the field. We need some sort of facility to be able to rig up a tarpaulin in the event of rain. If this is not available we can use our woodland space but this would incur a travel cost to the school.
