Meet some of the team!
Claire Tjaveondja is the director of The Fungis 555, with a vision of creating magical and inspirational learning for all participants. Her dedication and expertise in nature-based learning have made The Fungis 555 a truly unique experience. She has been in education for ever; championing equality; delivering Forest School across the North West for fourteen years; been a head teacher of a rural primary school; acting head of a maintained nursery school; is a Mental Health Lead; and is a lecturer at Edge Hill University.
Gemma Hill has been delivering Forest School to schools in the North West for thirteen years. She is the manager of a local nursery and is dedicated to keeping learning real and hands on.
Colin Unsworth is an inspirational master of mycology. He has been studying mushrooms and edible wild food since he was a child. He runs his own foraging company called Forest Horizons and engages in fund raising for charities such as Re-wild Britain and Mind. He has trained as a Forest School Lead. We tap into his wealth of knowledge and skills throughout our training.
